Out of nowhere comes this stunning side project of sorts from blog favourite Cristallin. The Swiss maestro rather modestly describes the project as “this will be sort of a trash bag where I upload tracks which I made just for fun“. When I first heard this new track from Kennesaw, Georgia-based electronic duo Orikami late last night, I was genuinely awed by its sheer brilliance.  Orikami is the project of young electronic musicians Drew Domalik and Steven Skunberg. ‘Dead In The Water‘ is the duo’s latest offering and what an absolute masterpiece it is. There’s a feeling of nostalgia, warmth and emotion throughout the track as the soft piano sounds are met with gorgeous vocal samples and beautiful electronic textures. No doubt, we’ll be hearing a lot more about this talented duo very soon. Grab ‘Dead In The Waterhere.
